Logged Picea forest, now dominated by Betula. Slopes and meadows; slopes with numerous, scattered limestone boulders and diverse herbaceous flora in organically rich, dark soil and with deep moss layer in many places.

Cap 7 cm in diam., convex, margin strongly incurved and waved, gray to dark gray but margin olivaceous yellowish, dry or slightly viscid when moist; lamellae adnexed to sinuate, cream to whitish, 6 mm in height; stipe 5-8 X 2-3 cm, subcylindrical cream to yellowish, glabrous; context white, unchanging; odor indistinct; taste mild.
