Logged Picea forest, now dominated by Betula. Slopes and meadows; slopes with numerous, scattered limestone boulders and diverse herbaceous flora in organically rich, dark soil and with deep moss layer in many places.

Cap 7-8 cm in diam., convex-applanate, gray to brownish gray, somewhat hygrophorus; lamellae adnate, grayish, becoming brownish to brown or blackish when injured, up to 5 mm in height; stipe 8-10 X 1-1.5 cm, attenuate upwards, gray to grayish.
