Logged Picea forest, now dominated by Betula. Slopes and meadows; slopes with numerous, scattered limestone boulders and diverse herbaceous flora in organically rich, dark soil and with deep moss layer in many places.

Cap 9 cm in dia., convex-applanate, dirty cream, densely covered with brown to dark brown squamules; lamellae adnexed, dirty white, 10 mm in height, edge brownish; stipe 11 X 2.5 cm, attenuate upwards, white to dirty white, covered with brownish squamules.
