Logged Picea forest, now dominated by Betula. Slopes and meadows; slopes with numerous, scattered limestone boulders and diverse herbaceous flora in organically rich, dark soil and with deep moss layer in many places.

Cap 4-7 cm in diam., convex-applanate to applanate, cinnamon to cinnamon brown, velvety, cracked; hymenophore adnexed, surface gray brown, becoming blue quickly; pores 1-2(3) mm in diam., tubes up to 10mm in depth, gray; stipe 4-6 X 0.5-1 cm, dirty gray to brown, covered with gray to brown squamules; context white to cream, barely changing.
