Xizang (Tibet): Gongjue (Gongjo) Xian. Along highway S501 from highway 314 between Jiangda (Gyamda) and Qingnidong (Qunyido) to the city of Gongjue (Gongjo in Tibetan). Kobresia meadows with scattered thickets of dwarf (<50 cm tall) Rhododendron and Sibiraea, and dry, rocky slope. 31°8'48"N, 98°10'25"E; 4200 m.
Dry, rocky slope. Growing as an herb; tepals yellow.
