Sichuan: Maerkang (Barkam) Xian. SE of the city of Maerkang on highway 317, then on highway 211 to Dangba, village of Yinliang Cun. Thickets and open heavily grazed areas along stream and adjacent slopes with remnant forest with Acer, Betula, Fraxinus, Populus, Salix, Taxus and Pinus. 31°43'52"N, 102°4'19"E; 2365-2870 m.
Grassy areas along stream and in moss on rocks. Leaves mottled purple and green; tepals pale purple; labellum white with purple spots. Flowers sweetly fragrant.
