Sichuan: Maerkang (Barkam) Xian. SE of the city of Maerkang on highway 317, then on highway 211 to Dangba, village of Yinliang Cun. Thickets and open heavily grazed areas along stream and adjacent slopes with remnant forest with Acer, Betula, Fraxinus, Populus, Salix, Taxus and Pinus. 31°43'52"N, 102°4'19"E; 2365-2870 m.
Open slopes, disturbed areas and margins of thickets. Petals abaxially purplish pink, adaxially pale pink; anthers yellow; ovary pale green.
