Phlomoides ornata (C. Y. Wu) Kamelin & Makhmedov
Sichuan: Xiaojin Xian. E of the city of Xiaojin at Meiwo Xiang. Disturbed areas around abandoned cultivated fields, stony slopes above stream with scattered trees and shrubs (Salix, Berberis, Buddleja, Rosa), with Larix and occasional Abies at higher elevations. 30°51'35"N, 102°25'23"E; 3150-3250 m.
On slope in semi shaded places. Coarse herbs, mostly past flowering; stems reddish purple; calyx reddish purple; corolla reddish purple; fringe at apex corolla white. Initially identified as Phlomis ornata C. Y. Wu.
