Sichuan: Xiaojin Xian. E of the city of Xiaojin at Meiwo Xiang. Disturbed areas around abandoned cultivated fields, stony slopes above stream with scattered trees and shrubs (Salix, Berberis, Buddleja, Rosa), with Larix and occasional Abies at higher elevations. 30°51'35"N, 102°25'23"E; 3150-3250 m.
Open slope. Herbs to 80 cm tall; involucral bracts green; ray florets yellow; disc florets yellow; anther tube brownish.
