Sichuan: Xiaojin Xian. S of the city of Danba across the Dadu He (Dadu River) along tributary of Dadu He. Steep, rocky slope with large moss-covered boulders in shade of trees near base. Most trees cut, but Quercus, Diospyros, Toxicodendron and Juglans regia remaining. Limestone bedrock. 30°44'10"N, 102°3'41"E; 1930 m.
On moist, moss covered boulders. Colonial, tufted. Initially identified as Pyrrosia gralla (Giesenhagen) Ching.
