Sichuan: Xinlong Xian. Confluence of nearly dry tributary and Yalong Jiang at intersection of road from Ganzi to Xinlong (highway 217) and road to Baiyu, just downstream from the village of Acha (Echa). Dry, rocky river margins and terrace, thickets and disturbed Picea-Abies forest on adjacent slopes. 31°20'23"N, 100°13'40"E; 3200 m.
Crevices of shale ledges. Corolla pale blue; stigma pale blue. Initially identified as Adenophora stenantha (Ledebour) Kitagawa.
