Sichuan: Dêgê Xian. Side ravine S of road (highway 317) from Dêgê to Manigange between base of Que'er Shan and Dumuling Cun. Grazed meadow along stream, fallow fields, shrub thickets of Berberis, Salix, Potentilla and Spiraea and remnant Picea forests along tributary of Serqu He (Serqu River). 31°54'48"N, 98°48'54"E; 3740 m.
Slope above stream. Scattered. Herbs to 1.5 m tall; petals yellow; fruit green [Notopterygium franchetii H. Boissieu in Flora of China].
