Xizang (Tibet): Changdu (Chamdo) Xian. S of the city of Changdu (Qamdo) on road (highway 214) to Bangda along the Lancang Jiang (Mekong River). Xeric slope above river; shrubs, herbs and grasses dominant. 31°2'45"N, 97°13'32"E; 3070 m.
On open slope among grasses. Petals blue with white in throat.
