On rotten wood under Quercus at 3700 m.Pileus 3-7 cm in diam., convex, slightly viscid when wet, first purple at disc, paler towards margin, with purplish squamules, then disc becoming purplish, margin yellowish to cream colored, often without squamules. Lamellae adnate, brown. Stipe 3-6 x 0.5-0.7 cm with violescent fibrils and squamules. Annulus brown, indistinct. Context white or yellowish. Taste mild. With a slide.
