Yunnan: Dali Xian. E side of Diancang Shan mountain range. Vicinity of Yinglofeng. Disturbed mixed broadleaved and coniferous forests. 25°42'0"N, 100°7'0"E; 3100 m.
Ca. 1.2 m tall, flowers violet with dark purple spots. Initially identified as Nomocharis pardanthina Franchet.
