Subtropical evergreen broadleaved forest. Forest dominated by Rhododendron, Acer, Lauraceae, Ilex, and Tsuga. 25°48'34"N, 98°37'29"E; 3020 m.
Growing in forest in sun. SW-facing. Loam. Base rock: limestone. Slope 10-30°. Tree ca. 8 m tall. Pedicel and ovary yellowish brown. Persistent style yellowish green Stigma dark brown. Occasional.
